Hanshi Randy Thomas
As a Grand Master, I have over 55 years of experience and am skilled in many forms of karate, including: Japanese Karate, Chinese Kung Fu, and Goju Ryu Karate. I began training under my father in 1958. I joined the army and as I served training Army Rangers hand to hand combat, I also opened several schools; thus promoting the dragon way of life. In 1988 after my military time was over I joined the Army reserves. I returned to Washington, and took an eager student under my wing, forming the first Dragons dojo. From that, I established a style called Gyoshin Ryu Karate Do. This style reflects my own beliefs, which are to maintain the deeper meaning of martial arts: Teach the lost way of self defense, and continue on to the path of true protection. To guide and develop individuals, one must stay committed to the martial arts and involve themselves in their communities.
Since its inception, the primary goal of Hanshi has been to promote Sho Ba Con karate Do through fellowship and sharing the martial arts experience with dojo leaders around the world.

Kyoshi CJ Mayo
I first started training in January of 1989. After a year of training in ShoBaCon Karate, I started in KuemSooDo Tae Kwon Do. I did this for a few years and then began to study other arts, truly making the martial arts a way of life. This took dedication and focus not to get the arts mixed up. I've been awarded multiple black belts in various arts. I competed as amember of the US National Martial Arts Team amd amcurrently a state represenative. In June of 2014 I was awarded the title of Kyoshi, which means Senior Master. I believe in the traditions of the Martial Arts and strives to see them continue through the students and other black belts. I continues to be very active in the dojo and in teaching the traditional ways of the Martial Arts. I'm also a 2014 USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame Inductee.

Shihan Kathy Thomlinson
I started training with my children in 1989. I wanted an activity that I could do with them, instead of just watching them. My original goal was just to be doing something with them but that soon changed when I fel in love with the training, philosophies, and insight to who I am as well as what I can accomplish. I have been working with Hanshi Thomas for 26 years. I currently have a 6th degree black belt on Kum So Do and a 7th degree black belt in Sho Ba Con Karate. I work as the administrative assistant at our Spanaway location and instruct the pee-wee class. I also assist Hanshi in the Jr class.

Shihan Marcus Baldwin
I started the martial arts when I was 5 years old. I have trained in multiple disciplines, including both Korean and Japanese, within the artial arts. I continue to train to this day and focus on what the values of the martial arts has taught me. I love to share what I have learned with others. Watching students grow not only as a martial artists, but as people, brings a smile to my face. I have competed and won numerous tournaments as well as completed on the US National Martial Arts Team. I am currently a member of the Black Dragons Martial Arts Federation as a Voting Board Member and Senior Instructor.
